CouponGiant

What is CouponGiant?

CouponGiant is an advertising-supported application (adware) that belongs to the MultiPlug family. It is known that this program can randomize its name, so if you ever detect a program with a similar name, there is basically no doubt that it is the same CouponGiant. This program might really seem to be beneficial at first sight, but it is, actually, not, so we recommend deleting it soon after you have detected it on your computer. If you decide to keep it installed, you will have to deal with commercial advertisements day after day. They will appear on your screen no matter you use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. If you cannot stand these ads anymore, you can, of course, get rid of them. The only way to do that is to remove the adware program that generates advertisements. It is not a problem if you do not know how to do that because we will explain the entire process in this article.

How does CouponGiant act?

It might seem that CouponGiant cannot cause harm to the system. Well, the program itself is not dangerous, but it is known that it generates and distributes ads that might have unreliable links embedded into them. These links might redirect to various untrustworthy web pages. Unfortunately, it is impossible to say whether the ad you see on your screen is going to cause harm to you or not; thus, it is not surprising that more and more people get infected with malware after clicking on some kind of advertisement. If you want to protect your PC, you should ignore those ads and hurry to get rid of CouponGiant. If it happens that you still see ads after you erase CouponGiant, it is very likely that other adware programs are installed on your PC, or you have not erased CouponGiant fully.

Adware that belong to the MultiPlug family of infections often enter systems when users click on fake Download buttons located on torrent, file-sharing, and similar websites. If you are not careful enough, you might notice the presence of SaveNShop, SaveON, SharkManCoupon, and TicTacCoupon on your systems. Do not worry; there is a way to protect your system from malware - you simply have to install a security application on your system. It is also highly recommended that you stop downloading programs from third-party web pages and torrents because you might download several malicious programs instead of a useful application.
