Please help me. My sister’s computer is infected with the AV Security Suite. We cannot download any software to correct this because it will not allow her to go to the internet. We have tried FireFox and Google Chrome and can’t access those either. How can she get this off of her computer if she can’t get to the internet. Is there anything to by and download into it? Thanks. Margo

Interesting that you are seeing this problem with Firefox as well. This is happening because this virus sets your proxy server in IE to look for a dial up connection instead of DSL or you are being routed to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Internet Settings “ProxyServer” = “http=127.0.0.1:5555″
Do the following in IE: Tools->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings check Automatically Detect settings. Uncheck Use a proxy server for your.
Make sure you delete at a minimun otherwise you won’t get rid of this virus:
%Documents and Settings%\\[UserName]\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\[random string]\\[random string]tssd.exe
%Documents and Settings%\\[UserName]\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\[random string]\\[random string].exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run “[random string]”
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run “[random string]”
Hope this helps

My laptop computer is infected with the AV Security Suite. I cannot download any software to correct this because it will not allow me to go to the internet. I tried to download spyhunter to a disc and inserted it into my laptop, but it said it was not win32 compatible. How do I get this off my laptop? Thanks, Jeanne
