Search.allinoneoffice.net

What is Search.allinoneoffice.net?

Search.allinoneoffice.net looks like a normal search engine, but it is not, and you could put yourself at risk by using it. It should become obvious that not everything is right with it when you are redirected to google.com/search (Google Search) after entering keywords into the allocated search field. Even though you might be familiar with this engine, the hijacker’s ability to redirect to it without any warning or your consent is truly worrisome. You want to delete Search.allinoneoffice.net from your web browser not only because it redirects without permission, but also because it can expose you to unreliable content. We discuss this further in the report. Before you continue reading to learn more about the threat and its removal, it is advised that you scan your operating system using a legitimate malware scanner. If more serious threats are found, handle them first. The hijacker can wait a moment.testtesttest

How does Search.allinoneoffice.net work?

Although it is possible that Search.allinoneoffice.net could be represented on its own, our Anti-Spyware-101.com research team informs that this hijacker is officially represented by “All-in-One Office - New Tab.” This is an extension that is currently compatible with the Google Chrome web browser. It is introduced to users via allinoneoffice.net, but it can be downloaded only via the Chrome webstore at chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/all-in-one-office-new-tab/dgldcllfgcheelimlbmilnkilnamlhbd. Of course, unofficial sources of this strange extension could exist. As a matter of fact, it is more likely that you would acquire this add-on via a third-party installer that could package it along with potentially unwanted programs and malware. This is why scanning the operating system is important. If you acquire the extension from an unknown source, it is hard to say how it would be represented, but if you install it using the Chrome webstore, you are introduced to a list of permissions, which include reading browsing history and taking over the New Tab. Needless to say, you have to be selective about the programs you install, and if anything about them is suspicious, you should forget about them. We suggest removing Search.allinoneoffice.net exactly because it can record data and corrupt your browser.

If you download All-in-One Office - New Tab onto your Google Chrome browser, the suspicious Search.allinoneoffice.net takes over the New Tab. As discussed already, this search tool looks pretty normal, and you might even find it useful. That is because it presents links to such well-known services by Google as Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, KeepIt, or Translate. So, if the extension is installed, all you need is to open the New Tab to get access to all of these tools. While that might be useful to some, we want to focus on the search tool. Unsurprisingly, it exploits the good name of Google here as well. Axel Division LP – the creator of the extension and the hijacker – informs via the Privacy Policy that the tool is meant to provide you with a “better search experience,” but, in fact, it could lead to security issues. That is because Search.allinoneoffice.net does not just redirect to Google Search. The hijacker also can inject its own links, which means that the results can be adjusted to show virtually anything.

How to delete Search.allinoneoffice.net

There are much better tools you could use instead of Search.allinoneoffice.net. Even though it offers a search service, and it can provide you with access to real tools by Google, it is not trustworthy because it can modify the results that are shown to you, and it can record information about you while you use its services. If All-in-One Office - New Tab came bundled with malware, you want to install an anti-malware tool because it will automatically erase every single malicious component. If this strange extension was installed on its own, you might be able to clean your operating system manually. We offer a guide that shows how to delete the extension.
