Where does Savings Bull come from?

There are several ways for Savings Bull to enter your computer. You can easily download it at savingsbull.com which is the official home page for the application. At the home page you are told that Savings Bull is an application that is supposed to help you save money on online deals. It says that “Savings Bull is your premier computer application that takes care of all your coupon needs”. In other words, this applications function like coupons plug-in although it does not install any extension on your browser.

However, the official website is not the only place where you can download Savings Bull at. Actually, more often than not this program arrives bundled with freeware, potentially unwanted programs and other types of adware.

What does Savings Bull do?

It has been mentioned already that Savings Bull does not install any extension on the browser. Instead, it has one process running in the background called SavingsbullFilterService64.exe. With this service running, you will be a subject to constant pop-ups whenever you access such online shopping websites as BestBuy, Barnes & Noble, Expedia, Walmart and so on. Although some of those advertisements may be related to your overall likes and preferences, you cannot rule out the possibility that Savings Bull might display potentially malicious content as well.

Savings Bull has been known to be a part of various scams that urge users to install flash player or browser updates in order to view a video or play the latest media. However, you should stay away from such pages and links, because there might even be a malware program hiding behind it.

How to remove Savings Bull?

Despite the fact that Savings Bull is not a direct security threat, users should not keep this application on their computers, because this application is usually brought by such typical adware as GetSaving or Offers4U. When your computer is full of adware and adware helpers, your security level drops automatically, and you might get exposed to potential malware threats.

Therefore, you need to be careful about what you install onto your computer. Remove Savings Bull and all the related adware applications right now, and then invest in a reliable computer security tool that will make sure your system is safe and sound.

  1. Ok...I got stuck with this thing. (Savings bull)..I was tricked into downloading it by offering a 30 day free trial for engineering software. (I am an engineer).

What surprised me was when one of the ads showed a german swaskika and condoning the assasination of President Obama.

Reguardless of my personal politics...I do NOT condone any such action. I fear this could be lead to someone actually acting on this ad.

Someone needs to tell these people to watch what they are doing. One more thing...I will be boycotting the main companies who use this software.
