Safe Saver

What is Safe Saver?

Safe Saver is yet another browser extension that is there to help you save on your online purchases. It is a legitimate product that displays coupon deals and discount offers whenever you access such online shopping malls as eBay, Walmart, Amazon and others. At first glance it may seem that Safe Saver is definitely a good choice especially if you are an avid online shopper, but computer security experts raise a red sign here, saying that it would be in your best interest to remove Safe Saver from your browser and your PC. The problem is that such browser extensions are often related to particular security issues you cannot overlook.

Where does Safe Saver come from?

Just like Trusted Saver and other similar extensions Safe Saver can be downloaded from the official website. The official website for this extension is safesaver.com. There the application is presented as an add-on that helps you to get “the best online shopping experience”. However, Safe Saver can also be downloaded and installed on your PC along with such potentially unwanted programs as Yontoo, 1ClickDownload, Superfish and others. Usually, you should be able to opt out from installing this extension, especially if you read the setup instructions for the aforementioned freeware apps carefully, but the problem is that users are too used to installing software automatically, and thus Safe Saver gets installed onto Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome web browsers.

What does Safe Saver do?

Naturally, Safe Saver displays coupon deals and discount offers. Each time you access a supported website, you will see a “See Similar” button at the top right corner of your browser, and if you click it, you will be shown a list of Coupons that you could use. How does Safe Saver know what kind of coupons you need? Simple, it employs cookies to collect information on your web browsing habits, and then it can display coupons that are related to the items you search for or purchase the most.

How to remove Safe Saver?

Luckily, Safe Saver is installed with user’s intervention so it means that you can uninstall the extension on your own as well. Simply follow the instructions below to remove Safe Saver via Control Panel, and after manual removal run a full system scan with SpyHunter free scanner. 1. I have been trying to remove safesaver from my computer. I was able to uninstall it, but I have not been successful in removing it from my browser. I have to disable it every time I open Internet Explorer. After about 5 minutes, it enables itself, and I have to go in and disable it again. Is there a way I can completely delete it from my browser . . . not just disable it?

    Thank you!

  2. Yeah I'm having the same issue. I have a malware remover that found all those files and removed them. But I can't find Safe Saver on my Programs list, and it reappears every time I delete it from Chrome.
