How to Remove Personal Antivirus (Removal Instructions)
What is Personal Antivirus? (Scan your PC for Personal Antivirus with SpyHunter)
Personal Antivirus, or PersonalAntivirus, is a rogue anti-spyware application. Personal Antivirus is a clone of General Antivirus and Internet Antivirus Pro which are all know to be rogue anti-spyware applications. Personal Antivirus alerts you through many bogus popup messages and system scan results of computer infections. These results should not be trusted as they are used as a scare tactic to force you into purchasing the Personal Antivirus program.
Personal Antivirus is known to be installed without notice to you through a Trojan horse called Vundo. Personal Antivirus may also be advertised on a malicious website that could have been developed by the same attackers as General Antivirus or Internet Antivirus Pro. You should take actions to detect and remove Personal Antivirus with a trust-worthy spyware removal program before it is able to cause damage to your computer.

got the PAV while working the Publisher Clearinghouse “search and win”,suddenly got a red screen and warning to exit site immediatly, site is infected.Could not access AVG,or Windows security and updates, every location”my documents,my computer, etc.all showed red screen and warning,”files infected”.Telephoned Microsoft,Tech and I worked on killing PAV,thought we had it done using “Safety.live.com”. Afterwards it started all kinds of popups, and found it had actually infected AVG free 8.0, which I then uninstalled;on further searching found it in (C:program files\pav\pav.exe process 1880,and Adobe acrobat. At this point I took drastic measure of using the “restore” point of ten days earlier, then run Safety.live again and updated security with Microsoft. No more problems, but that was a lot of work,4 hrs. I can’t afford the really good programs, but I thought this response might prove useful to you in showing just how sneaky and hard to get rid of this thing is.

Last weekand they the PAV loaded on one of the computers. I e-mailed PAV answered on how to remove . which worked. The file was reloader again a week later. When I used the same instructions and clicked on uninstall icon it went away, but not the file program.
I e-mailed PAV but not reply this time. Like a person said, whey would they tell you HOW to removed their SPY program from your computer. Everyone says you need a GOOD antivirus, this tell me MacAfee is useless.
Reading the information above, it say you need to buy another removal program. Proably another of their own companies.
What a person needs is a Good Baseball bat and pay the people a visit.

Hey all you people shooting off your mouths telling the website to remove the “Personal Antivirus” from your machine that You didn’t ask for it…blah…blah..blah..
READ THE TIP AGAIN..SLOWLY THIS TIME. This is a Tip forum telling you how to remove the virus file called “PERSONAL ANTIVIRUS” from your machine. They are not ‘putting it on’ your machine. So follow the instructions to take care of your own machine. And if you still don’t understand, then put your computer in a box and sell it because you are too stupid to read or to use a computer.

Hey! Let’s all take a look at the information presented here. The info isn’t about the PAV, but how to REMOVE IT. Ladies and gentlemen – - the PAV is NOT – REPEAT NOT and anti-virus program. IT IS A VIRUS that presents as an ANTI-VIRUS. Once you have it, griping about it won’t fix it! Using the steps above will fix it. I have enountered this at least 5 times in my computer repair business. It has to MANUALLY removed in most cases – Norton, AVG, and McAfee may MAY NOT detect it – - if it does you can try to heal/inoculate or isolate it – - but that may not always work. Removing it from the REGISTRY MANUALLY as shown in these steps seems to be the best way to fix it.
The folks who are providing you with this fix are NOT THE FOLKS WHO GAVE YOU THE VIRUS. Stop beating up on them – - as for the person who said “you are too stupid to own a computer”……that’s just not cool. Literally millions of people have gotten this virus because they received an ALERT that they had a VIRUS and to “CLICK HERE TO FIX” or something to that effect. Don’t be SO CLICK HAPPY. If you know that your Antivirus Program is Norton or AVG or McAfee – - the only time you would get an alert would be from those programs.
YOU SHOULD SUSPECT ANYTHING that just POPS UP ON YOUR SCREEN you do not recogize. Oh – - and just because you are not in your Email or on the Internet (using Internext Explorer or Mozilla) does not mean YOU ARE NOT ONLINE. If you have a high speed, DLS, Cable, Satellite, etc…….you are ONLINE as soon as you power up your computer. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE………….and dont’ beat up on the people trying to help you. Follow the directions – - if you find it intimidating – (totally natural to some) then get someone to help you – - we all have a friend/family member who can help. Get them to use REMOTE ASSISTANCE if it works and connect and fix it for you. GOOD LUCK!
