What is OhMyTabs?
OhMyTabs’s developers claim that it offers a wide range of web browsing features, but all of them boil down to displaying unwelcome and intrusive commercial ads. So we recommend that you remove this application at your earliest convenience. In short, this application falls into the category of adware, and we want to stress that apart from showing ads it will not do anything else. Furthermore, we think that you should not trust its ads and refrain from clicking them because there is no way to tell whether the promoted links are safe.
How does OhMyTabs work?
Adware is created to one thing — display advertisements and OhMyTabs excels at this activity. Testing has shown that this application can inject advertisements to most websites. According to its promotional campaign, this program should provide you with limited-time offers, interesting deals, social media apps, coupons, and comparison shopping, among other things. Now let us put things into perspective here; all of the content mentioned above is presented as search, banner, text link, transitional, interstitial and full page advertisements that are quite annoying. This application does not label its ads so you might mistake them for advertisements presented by a given website. So, why this app shows ads? You can find the answer on its EULA which states that “to keep OhMyTabs free, we're supported by advertisements on the websites where OhMyTabs is working hard to improve you r web experience.” So this application displays ads for the sake of displaying them, and it offers no useful function that could improve your browsing experience.
Where does OhMyTabs come from?
As expected, this program’s website at Ohmytabs.com does not provide information about its owners. It does not feature a legal company name because the name of the application doubles as the company name. We say that this is a bogus company name because its real developers have created other clone applications that include names such as Couponarific, Scorpion Saver, and Savings Bull. These clone programs are also prone to displaying many promotional links and advertisements and should be deleted as well. In any case, the true developers of all these applications do not want to go public, probably because the promoted advertisements might be of unreliable nature.
As far as OhMyTabs’s distribution methods are concerned, it seems that its only distribution method is its dedicated website, but it has not download button, but you can initiate the download by typing in the full URL in the address box. However, we are not going to provide this full link. All in all, it seems that this program lacks adequate distribution methods, but this is just as well because it is no good. Regardless, since it is a relatively new program, its developers might set up a fully functional distribution website and make arrangements to bundle it with freeware.
