I have both XPAntivirus 2.4 and ActiveX running around, I try to run a scan and I get Your current Security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded. HELP! This garbage is driving me nuts just like they want it to.

I was hunting around for a solution to the missing .bin file thing with AVG yesterday (aug 16) and found a sponsored link that said something about AVG 8.5
As you know, XP anti-virus 2008 installed way before I had given permission.

I have XP Antivirus on my computer and have tried everything to get rid of it. I click on the links to get rid of it but the computer will not allow me to open the page or link. I have been trying to get it off my computer for days… Someone please help..

My computer will not even get past the “loading your settings” page.
I cannot boot from disc or get into the setup.
F2 and F12 do not load.

Have this crap on my computer. Have tried many products, none work…..help! This is the xp police antivirus version, very nasty.

I have had mixed results removing, as it changes the settings I run spybot search and destroy that removes some of the system changes then Malwarebytes’ anti-spyware. Both of these are free and will get rid of it if you if you “fix the problem” after scanning.
