What is a rogue anti-spyware program?
SpyShredder is a rogue anti-spyware program.
A rogue anti-spyware program is a program that uses spyware and other deceptive tools to trick you into purchasing their fake spyware remover. A rogue anti-spyware software will install a trojan on your machine to download the software. You’ll know you’re being tricked if you go to a website and an ad pops up that looks like a Windows notification message. Once you click on the ad’s OK button, this will direct you to the software’s website. In other cases, simply by clicking the cancel or close button can start the rogue anti-spyware program’s installation. Often, a rogue anti-spware program will display false positives (nonexistent spyware) when you use their spyware scanner. Some rogue anti-spyware software, like SpyShredder will automatically download the trial version without your knowledge.
How do I know I have SpyShredder on my computer?
Good question! The first step in detecting and removing SpyShredder is by asking yourself whether or not your computer has been infected. SpyShredder, as well as other unwanted software, can be difficult to detect and even more difficult to remove but knowing the SpyShredder symptoms can start you on the road to having a SpyShredder-free computer.
SpyShredder Symptoms
If you answer “yes” to any of the SpyShredder symptoms listed below, you may have SpyShredder or other types of parasites installed on your computer. Keep in mind that the symptoms of SpyShredder and other unwanted software infections vary.
SpyShredder may install without your knowledge or consent. Downloading shareware/freeware software or visiting questionable websites might lead to a SpyShredder infection. Once installed, SpyShredder can compromise your privacy by transmitting your personal information and downloading popup advertisements.
SpyShredder may monitor your surfing habits. Once installed, SpyShredder or other types of parasites can do almost anything. It can tracks which websites you visited or what terms you’ve typed. Spyware uses your information to deliver targeted ads to you. Also, data of your surfing activities may be sold to third parties.
SpyShredder may bombard you with popup ads. SpyShredder may display annoying popups while you surf the Web. You might have SpyShredder or other types of parasites on your computer if you see pop-up advertising, even when you are not on the Web or when your computer has been idle for many minutes.
SpyShredder may hijack, redirect and change your Web browser. When your Web browser’s home page unexpectedly changes without your consent or your Web browser suddenly closes or stops responding, you might be infected with SpyShredder. Also, in other cases new toolbars appear on your Web browser and you can’t get rid of it.
Slow computer performance. A sluggish computer is one of the easiest signs that you have been infected with SpyShredder. SpyShredder and other unwanted sofware use your computer’s resources to do its nasty tasks such as displaying popups or tracking your surfing activities. If you see your computer is slowing down dramatically or crashing a lot, you may be infected with an unwanted software.
Help! I have SpyShredder. What do I do?
Your privacy has been compromised and you no longer have control over your computer. What do you do? You panic and try to search for the number of a computer repair company? No! The best approach is to find a reliable anti-spyware program to run a spyware check. Once the anti-spyware software has identified the harmful files, you can easily remove all the files with a click of a button.
If you’re not computer savy and you think you’ve been infected with SpyShredder, download SpyHunter SpyShredder scanner to automatically check for any SpyShredder files.
Also, we recommend that you DO NOT reformat your computer, reformatting should be your last resort. Reformatting will erase the contents of your hard-drive and you’ll have to reinstall every software you had before.

Lynette,
Try to use our instructions how to remove SpyShredder manually. The problem may be, that you have not only SpyShredder on your computer, but other malware too. On the other hand, it can be that you haven’t got SpyShredder on your computer at all, but the malware that has got into your system sends you to SpyShredder page. Use reputable anti-spyware programs to remove malware from your computer.

myra,
Usually SpyShredder comes with nasty infection. The names of the infected files changes very often so it is very hard to find them. I suggest you to use our free scanner. This is the way to find the infected SpyShredder files and their location. Use Safe Mode to remove them from your computer. Or if you think that you are not experienced enough to remove them manually, try to use anti-spyware progams.

Did you try to boot and scan your computer in Safe Mode? If this didn\’t help you, you have to use anti- spyware / anti-virus programs, if you want to get rid of SpyShredder. The most important thing is to remove parasite\’s execution points but not the whole infection files.

nesesito de sintalar spyshredder de mi computadora
December 11th, 2007 at 6:42 pm
I have tried numerous times to remove SpyShredder2.1 off from my computer, but I can not get it removed. It is extremely annoying! Why can’t something be done from these individuals doing this to people and their computers.
And of course, they want money in order to remove this “possibly” from your computer.
December 12th, 2007 at 3:08 pm
Regina,
Most likely the problem is not SpyShredder, but some Trojan which installs SpyShredder after removal again. First of all you have to get rid of this Trojan and then remove SpyShredder. This should solve your problem. You may use our free SpyHunter scanner which can find the locations of the infected files. Afterwards you can follow our manual removal instructions to remove the infection. If you think, that this would be too difficult for you, you have to use a reliable anti-spyware program to keep your computer free from spyware.

hilda,
Try to use our manual SpyShredder removal instructions. You can use our free SpyHunter scanner to find the infected files on your computer. Our scanner will not remove the infection, but it will show you the locations of the infected files. When you will find the locations of the infected files, you can remove them manually. By the way, it is better to boot your computer in Safe Mode. If this won’t help you to clean your machine from spyware, I suggest you to get a reliable anti-spyware program. If anti-spyware program will not remove spyware from your computer, you can contact the support team and they will help you to clean your system. Good luck

Susan,
Usually SpyShredder gets into your machine through Trojans. You should use a reliable anti-spyware program to get rid of these trojans and SpyShredder. Otherwise, you can scan your computer with our free scanner or other scanner to find all the infected files. If you are going to use our free scanner, it will show the infected files and their locations, but not remove them. The next thing what you’ll have to do, is to boot your computer in Safe Mode and delete the infection manually.
February 16th, 2008 at 12:21 am

You want a laugh? I paid to have spyshredder on my cmptr. I got a warning of infection and was told that Spyshredder would remove it. I panicked and paid $53.00. I then found outit was a scam. There was another blocking pop up that wanted me to buy their product. I refused, went to internet options and there was their address on my net address. I removed it and the blocking site vanished.
Watch out, always ck your internet address in options before buying anything.
May 23rd, 2008 at 11:22 am
