CmdService is an adware program that shows pop-ups of various types of third-party ads while you surf the Web. CmdService is installed by a number of drive-by downloaders. CmdService may prove difficult to remove because in order to uninstall CmdService, you must download a separate uninstaller from their website.

The End User License Agreement (EULA) states, "iDownload and/or the Software may, without any further prior notice to you, remove, disable or render inoperative other adware programs resident on your computer, which, in turn, may disable or render inoperative, other software resident on your computer, including software bundled with such adware, or have other adverse impacts on your computer." The EULA from iDownload.com also states that no personally identifying information (PII) is retrieved but in the case of non-personally identifying aggregate information may be shared with third parties including advertisers.
