What is ZiperFly?
ZiperFly is considered as a potentially unwanted application simply because it is nothing short of useless. It has the ability to display commercial ads so you might want to remove this application. ZiperFly is a useless application not only because it exclusively supports zip files, but also due to the way it works. because it is rather confusing and might be frustrating. There are much better alternatives to this application that include: 7-zip, Winzip, Winrar etc. Any one of these archives will do a much better job than ZiperFly. If you want to know more about this program, then please continue reading.
Where does ZiperFly come from?
This program’s website does not provide any information about the software developer that rolled out ZiperFly. Nevertheless, it is advertised on a website called Ziperfly.com which also serves as its distribution outlet. For starters, its website is full of grammatical errors, which indicates how unprofessional this website’s owners are. It is stated that ZiperFly is free to use, but this program’s website features a hilarious error where it compares the free and paid versions. On the left-hand side a coupon states that the free version is free and ad-supported, and that you can download it. The coupon on the right-hand side claims that the free version costs $1.99 USD and ad-supported, and that you can buy it. So why would anyone pay $1.99 USD for a version that does the same as the free one? Probably no one.
How does ZiperFly work?
Once you install this program you can use it to your heart’s content, but it has so many limitations that you probably will not keep it for long. In a nutshell, this application can open and extract zip files. It can also add files to an existing archive and you should be able to create zip archives, but for some reason this function does not work. You can also protect your archives by setting up a password, but since this application is so bare-bones, we doubt that it has even the essential security measures to protect your computer. Regardless, it only supports zip archives so it is pretty much obsolete, because all established archivers of today support dozens of formats.
Unfortunately, ZiperFly is capable of displaying third-party advertisements that are unreliable in nature, especially given the fact that they are promoted by a shady and secretive company. Yes, the websites explicitly stated that this application is ad-supported, but users may not realize that the promoted content can be misleading. Besides, ads are plain annoying so why put up with all of this? You do not have to, because there are very god alternative applications.

ZiperFly is not an aggressive application so you can simply run its uninstaller from the Control Panel.
